Months ago, we were brainstorming ways to create content that would be unique and meaningful to us. We were planning to visit our families back home in Michigan for the holidays and that sparked inspiration for our first shoot. One of many stops was the liquor store.

For our first collection, we wanted to center our hand-curated pieces on the cozy winter season. We love the versatility of the tops and two-piece sets. They're perfect to wear for so many occasions.

The Liquor Store vs. The Bodega

That awkward moment when you’re on your way to the pregame and you stop at the bodega to grab a bottle and chaser, only to find out they sell beer. To find the real alcohol in NYC, you have to add an extra stop to your route.

In Detroit, our equivalent to the NYC bodega is The Liquor Store. The one stop shop for all your needs from chips to candy, small groceries & drinks, and of course, liquor. We were inspired to do a shoot with subtle pieces that remind us of home. From the Vernors and BetterMade chips to the infamous Detroit staple glasses, Cartier Buffalos, a.k.a., “Buffs”, these are just a few of the things that make Detroit, Detroit.

Thank you Cyrus Tetteh for shooting these beautiful images. Thank you to our model, Jewell for sharing your beauty with us. Vintage pieces sourced from our friend Aaron Meekins and various thrift stores in NYC.
